WISH YOU WERE HERE

MOTION

PRESSING PLAY

Wish You Were Here sits within the Motion pathway, but its movement is less about momentum and more about the passage of time.

Built around music that has carried meaning across generations, the session moves between familiarity and discovery, memory and the present. It begins from a reflective place and gradually finds its own momentum, allowing older sounds and newer influences to sit alongside one another without trying to recreate either.

There is warmth here, but also an awareness that time keeps moving whether we are ready for it or not. The session explores the strange feeling of recognising parts of yourself in the music and people that came before you, while knowing that you can never quite return to the moment they belonged to.

The journal holds the personal story behind that feeling. The music leaves enough space for you to find your own relationship with memory, time and the people whose influence stays with you long after the moment itself has passed.
