The Record
Wish You Were Here is a Chapter within the Motion pathway of Lost Keys, but its movement is less about momentum and more about the passage of time.
Built around music that has carried meaning across generations, the session moves between familiarity and discovery, memory and the present. It begins in reflection before gradually finding its own momentum, bringing older sounds shaped by Pink Floyd (Clue’s in the name) together with newer influences. Not to recreate either, but to let them exist naturally alongside one another. Bringing two worlds together.
There is warmth here, but also an awareness that time keeps moving whether we are ready for it or not. The session explores the strange feeling of recognising parts of yourself in the music and people that came before you, while knowing that you can never quite return to the moment they belonged to.
The Journal
The accompanying Journal holds the personal story behind that feeling; the moment in my life that gave the Chapter its reason to exist. You don't consciously decide that the important people in your life will always be there. You just live as though they will.
