Kicking In sits within the Connection pathway, where music becomes about shared experience, presence and the energy created when people come together.

The session grows from that moment when anticipation starts giving way to participation. There is excitement in it, but also the hesitation that can come from thinking too much about something you already know you want to do.

Musically, that tension gradually disappears. The set becomes less about controlling what happens next and more about responding to the energy as it develops. What begins with preparation and uncertainty eventually becomes instinctive, physical and shared.

This is music for the moment when you stop standing outside the experience and become part of it.

The journal explores the personal circumstances that brought the chapter into existence. The music captures the feeling that remained: the point where the energy starts moving and you realise you are properly in it.
