ABOUT
Mixes & Journals
Lost Keys is a solo DJ project blending reflective electronic mixes with personal musical journals. Each mix is part of an Experience Room - a collection of tracks linked by mood, moment, or personal experience. Together, these rooms form the Musical Archive, an evolving library that turns everyday feelings into immersive listening journeys.
I also share Track Notes: the thoughts, inspirations, and moments behind each mix. They act as a map, showing not only how a mix was created but also the life that shaped it.
Through sound and storytelling, I invite you to experience music differently. It’s not just a playlist or a performance, it’s a space to connect, reflect, and feel.
Each mix is both personal and shared, a bridge between what’s happening inside me and what anyone listening might experience in their own way. Lost Keys is about exploring that connection, one mix at a time.
WHY
Purpose
Music has the power to unlock memory, emotion, and feeling… things we might not even realise we’re holding. For me, every track carries a moment, and the Track Notes capture it, creating a map I can revisit anytime.
For years, I felt out of place in music and life. Labels and expectations made me question whether this was for me, whether I belonged. Understanding my ADHD helped me see I was never broken, I was just wired differently. Music became my tool to process life, regulate myself and my thoughts, and make sense of the chaos.
I’m doing this now because I’ve finally stopped waiting for permission, stopped fearing judgment, and allowed myself to show up as I really am.
Lost Keys exists as a space to explore, share, and reflect. It’s for me and anyone who wants to feel the music and not just hear it.
HOW
Survival Soundtracks
Music is more than art, it’s like a survival tool. When life feels chaotic or overwhelming, working with sound helps me understand my emotions and figure out what I need. Each mix becomes a soundtrack, a personal toolkit I can return to for grounding, focus, clarity, or calm.
ADHD means my thoughts often jump in every direction, and these mixes create a path through the chaos. Track Notes act as markers, reminders of why a mix exists, what inspired it, and the feelings behind it. Together, music and notes form a map I can revisit whenever life gets hard.
Lost Keys isn’t about perfection. It’s about honesty, instinct, and survival through music. Each mix is a personal record of navigating life, and an invitation for anyone listening to do the same.
Some people journal as a way of processing… So do I, only my journals have a soundtrack to go with it.
IDENTITY
ABOUT…
Me, the Person
Approaching 40, I’m finally giving myself permission to be me, something I spent most of my life waiting for… Life has given me a wonderful wife and two incredible girls. As the only guy in the house, I’m outnumbered, outvoted, and permanently at the bottom of the pile - Kind of like my DJ sets: loud, chaotic, and largely ignored (at least by the people under my roof).
Music has been my longest, most loyal relationship, (don’t tell my wife). It started with classical piano, then drifted into electronic music and DJ culture, sparked by curiosity about the technology. Mixing, performing, and now producing, I love every part of it.
My taste is all over the place, just like my brain: electronic, house, garage, techno, drum & bass, jungle, with a dash of funk and soul. But, classical training is at the core, shaping how I feel rhythm, timing, and sound.
Music hits differently depending on the day, mood, or moment. That’s why I am obsessed. Sharing that feeling, whether performing or creating an experience, is what drives me. It’s about connection, joy, and the way sound can move us through life.
ABOUT…
Me, the Artist
Music is how I process life. With ADHD, my thoughts are fast, messy, and overlapping, words often can’t keep up. Music, however, can move at the same speed as my mind, carrying tension, release, chaos, and calm all without explanation.
When I create DJ mixes, they aren’t planned. They emerge instinctively, guided by mood and subconscious instinct. Each mix captures a moment - a snapshot of a feeling, a headspace, or a point in my life. Listening back later, I can trace the journey I was on and understand things I couldn’t articulate at the time.
Track Notes act as maps, showing the inspiration, emotion, and context behind each mix. They’re optional. You can follow them, or let the music meet you wherever you are.
These mixes aren’t polished products; they’re instinctive, alive, and honest. They exist to reflect my experience, to regulate, or simply to move with the moment.
ABOUT…
Me, the Brand
The name Lost Keys comes from a simple truth, I’m always losing something; my wallet, phone, focus, sense of direction, and yes my keys… Part ADHD, part figuring out who I am, it’s just me.
What used to make me frustrated or angry is now something I can laugh about. Lost Keys is a reminder to accept myself instead of constantly berating myself. It’s also a shield: being behind a faceless name gives me a little space to make mistakes, breathe, and keep going without feeling judged.
There’s also a personal joke behind it: my wife once got me a “lifetime” battery key finder. Let’s just say, I’ve already changed the battery more than once. That kind of perfect, ironic messiness sums up the name — and the project — better than I ever could.
Lost Keys isn’t about perfection. It’s about embracing the chaos, laughing at the mistakes, and finding a way forward, one lost thing at a time. It’s also a small screen between me and the world.
